Recaro Zero.1 Elite (i-Size) convinces in the child seat test of “auto motor und sport”
In the latest child seat test by “auto motor und sport” and TÜV Süd, the Recaro Zero.1 Elite (i-Size) seat received the verdict of “recommendable” (issue 26/2017): The experts were convinced of the performance of the seat, which passed the crash test with flying colors. In doing so, the reboarder had to fulfill higher requirements than provided for in the approval standard: For example, forces of around 30 times gravitational acceleration acted on the products, with the standard requiring values of up to 28 g to be withstood.
According to the panel, parents receive a high-quality seat with many clever details; including the removable carrier for newborns. In addition, the testers praised the easy-to-find installation aid and the height adjustability of the headrest.
“For Recaro Child Safety, quality and safety are the top priorities. The latest child seat test is a nice confirmation of our work,” explains Ralf Kindermann, Chief Executive Officer of Recaro Child Safety. “The fact that we require our own products to meet the highest safety and quality standards is also underscored by the numerous other awards we were able to win this year.”
A total of 16 prizes and honors from expert juries and end user portals were received by Recaro Child Safety this year. Above all, the committees praised the safety of the products. For example, Stiftung Warentest named the Recaro Zero.1 Elite (i-Size) the test winner in the category “4 years and under” (issue 05/2017). In issue 11/2017 of the magazine “test,” the panel of examiners awarded the grade “good” to three products: The child seats Recaro Zero.1 Elite (i-Size), Recaro Guardia, and Recaro Privia Evo scored points in areas including accident safety. In addition, the product Recaro Guardia 2017 received the Plus X Award for special comfort and protection of infants.
Last but not least, the company was recognized twice for its commitment to safety: The information campaign initiated by Recaro Child Safety in cooperation with the Chinese government and the test institute China Automotive Technology and Research Center (CATARC) has been raising awareness for several years: At public events in Chinese metropolitan areas, parents are shown how important a child seat is for safety. As recognition for this dedication, company representatives received both the “2017 Automobile Safety Decade of Action Star Support Award” and the “2017 Automobile Safety Decade of Actions Pioneer of Public Welfare Award” at the “Stop the Crash” event in Shanghai from October 16 to 18, 2017. “Our goal is to roll out the most modern security technologies worldwide and make them accessible to a broad section of the population. We would like to make an important contribution to greater road safety,” says Ralf Kindermann. “These awards show us that we are on the right track – and that our commitment is also having an impact.”
