Stiftung Warentest: Recaro Zero.1 is test winner within its class of grow-along child seats

The Recaro Zero.1 is the only grow-along child seat for children up to 18 kilograms that was rated “Good” by the German Stiftung Warentest. The Recaro child seat stood out because of its good accident protection, easy handling and good ergonomics.

For the latest edition of the magazine "test" (issue 11/2016), a total of 16 child seats were tested with regards to safety, handling, ergonomics and chemicals levels. The Recaro Zero.1 was awarded the "good" rating as the only seat for children from birth to a body weight of 18 kilograms (approx. 4.5 years).

Parents have previously had to decide whether they wanted to transport their children rearward facing or switch to a forward-facing child seat once the child has grown out of the infant carrier. The new Recaro Zero.1 makes this decision easier for parents: The 360° rotatable Group 0+/I seat can be used as a rearward facing seat from birth to approximately 4.5 years (18 kg). When the child is older than 15 months, the seat can be rotated with just one hand and can be used rearward or forward facing. This not only increases the safety but also the comfort. The seat can be turned sideways to face the door so that seating and buckling up is a piece of cake.
